Hi Everyone…
I can’t believe it’s already 2008. I have to say 2007 was one of the best years I’ve ever had. I hope 2008 is just as exciting. One of the highlights of my year was jamming with the famous Phil Keaggy. What an honor to share music with such a talented guitarist! I also met Frankie Valli at the opening of “Jersey Boys.” He’s a super nice guy. I also met Pamela Hayden. She’s the voice of Millhouse on “The Simpsons.” Some concerts I saw this year include Bruce Springsteen, The Police, Chris Cagel, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Wilco, Shawn Colvin, Natalie Cole, and believe it or not, Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers! It’s been a busy year!
The band and I took the month of January and most of February off, but we’re recording and hopefully the new cd will be ready this summer as planned. We have a lot of guest musicians playing on the new disc, some famous surprises and some famous in their own right.
February starts another round of gigs and travel. The Grammy Awards are February 10. I’ll also be heading to Mexico at the end of February. A girlfriend of mine is in India for the next two years and asked me to come visit her as well. I’ll be heading to Israel in May. This will be a fascinating trip and I can’t wait!
The Sparrow closed in December and is tentatively planning on heading to Florida. I am taking interest in another play called, “Knute Rockne, All American.” It’s a musical about the famous Notre Dame football coach. I attended a staged reading and I thought it was fabulous. Our movie, “Into the Light” was well received to sold out shows at the premiers. I’m looking forward to hearing more good things about it and I’ll keep you posted.
