-Suburban NiteLife Magazine-
Andreanna Moravec began studying violin at age 2. She's won numerous competitions and awards including a scholarship to the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. There she studied viola with Charles Pikler, Principal Viola of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. At 19, she won the position of Principal Viola of the Chicago Civic Orchestra. During that time, she appeared as soloist with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, performed live on WFMT (98.7 FM Chicago), and was selected to perform for Pinchas Zukerman in his Chicago Masterclass.
Andreanna is kept busy being a substitute member of the Chicago Symphony Ochestra, Indiana Symphony and Rockford Symphony. She has shared the stage with such performers as Smokey Robinson, Josh Groban, Frank Sinatra Jr., Art Garfunkle and Doc Severinson. She can even be heard on television and radio during certain commercials for Kellogg’s and Coors products.
Although much of her musical life is spent in the classical area, she enjoys performing other styles such as pop, rock and jazz. Being a member of the Debe Welch Band has given her that opportunity.
Watch for Andreanna’s first solo CD of original compositions due for release soon.
****Andreanna also performs with the Affinity String Trio for private and corporate functions, and teaches violin, viola and piano. To contact her for weddings, parties, or other events call (630) 795-1812.
